More whining

I've been trying to stay positive and thankful today but I am so sleep deprived it's not funny. I just want to cry it's that bad. Please tell me when I'm sleep deprived with a baby that I can stay focused but I'm having a problem focusing today. Lie if you have to, please.

sigh.

I'm breaking down and buying unisom tonight.

It will get better! I promise. When the baby arrives lots of people will tell you to nap when the baby does, do it! Don't feel overwhelmed with your "to do" list, everything else can wait...nap with the baby. If you nap, you will be able to focus.

I agree that naping with the baby helps! It is a definite must! And even on those days you are exhausted, despite naps, you will still manage to get through the day. It is just something that moms learn to adapt to. Hang in there. :)

This is called "training for sleep deprivation". Sounds bizarre, I know, but I believe it to be true. I think this is just a little something that your body throws in so that you get a little more used to a lack of any sleep longer than 3 hours.

Get the Unisom and sleep while you can. And when the baby gets here, take a nap every day. A messy house with kids is a fact. Trying to keep it spotless is like trying to vacuum in a tornado.
